DGV provide aims at providing long term livelihood change to the community projects that we work with and therefore our main goal for the fundraising campaigns. We collect donations from well-wishers globally to help build those needy communities in East Africa. DGV is a non-profit organization with a humanitarian goal to help transform the lives of the underprivileged communities within Africa. That is achieved through the volunteer projects that we do together with our generous global volunteers. Volunteers make these contributions through the volunteers’ fees that they pay and the services they provide within the community projects. You can also be part of this by donating to DGV community projects in Africa to touch a life positively if not a community. Do you have a humanitarian purpose like DGV? Volunteer Information
Why should I volunteer at Destiny Garden Voluntourism?
DGV has impactful volunteer programs which represent true initiatives that contribute towards positive change in the East African communities. Our volunteering programs entail a diversified range of skills which include sports, education, medicine, and community development. All these programs are well structured to provide a unique and fulfilling experience in every volunteer participating.
Volunteering with us will give opportunities to volunteer at local charitable Schools, local clinics, hospitals and health centers in Mombasa, Kenya and Kigali in Rwanda as this will help to meet the health and educational needs of needy communities including orphaned children aged 2½ to 17 years in the East African Community.
Who can volunteer?
This program is suitable for students, gap year programs, and people taking sabbaticals, a career change or in retirement. You will work with a professional organization. You will be part of DGV’s team the moment you arrive at the airport.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, young and old, with the energy, skills, and desire to work in an exceptional community service project away from home.

How long would my placement be?
Volunteers can stay for a short or long-term; it’s really up to you. Your placement may be for 1 or 2 weeks or months or even longer. All volunteers whether the short or long term will benefit from volunteering at DGV and even in one week can have a significant impact on the children and staff at the CHARITABLE SCHOOL and local Health Centres. You will be supported and guided in every way possible. In an emergency, you will not be alone. We will be there to assist you.
Where would you stay?
You will stay in the volunteer house provided for by the organization coordinator and mostly live with these families who are only a few minutes from the schools and health institutions not far from the projects. You will have breakfast and evening dinner at home of the directors from Monday to Friday and lunch at the school. At the weekend, all meals will be at home. We can also cater for any special dietary requirements. There is WIFI at home, but this is limited; there are however several internet cafés in town.
